Our Production Process

Every roll of Kayteks knit fabric follows a rigorous five-step production workflow, ensuring consistency, traceability, and premium quality from raw yarn to dispatch.

Yarn Intake & Lab Testing

Every incoming yarn batch is tested in our physical laboratory for count, twist, tensile strength, and evenness before it enters the production line. Non-conforming batches are rejected at the gate.

Circular Knitting

Our fleet of 30 circular knitting machines (26″–48″ diameter) operates 24/7 to produce jersey, rib, pique, terry, and brushed constructions. Central computer monitoring ensures real-time quality tracking.

Greige Fabric Quality Control

Every metre of greige (raw) fabric passes through 100% visual inspection on our quality control tables. Defects are marked, graded, and barcode-logged for full traceability.

Dyeing & Finishing

Fabrics are dyed using reactive dyes with OEKO-TEX-compliant chemistry. We offer Pantone colour matching, special finishes (softening, anti-pilling, brushing), and strict colorfastness testing.

Dispatch Preparation

Finished fabric is rolled, labelled with full batch data, wrapped in protective packaging, and prepared for shipment. Each roll carries a barcode linking to its complete production history.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our knit fabric manufacturing capabilities.

What is the difference between knit fabric and woven fabric?
Knit fabrics are made by interlocking loops of yarn using circular knitting machines, giving them natural stretch and flexibility. Woven fabrics are created by interlacing two sets of yarns (warp and weft) at right angles, resulting in a more rigid structure. Knit fabrics are ideal for garments requiring comfort and movement — t-shirts, underwear, activewear, and loungewear.
What GSM range does Kayteks produce?
We manufacture knit fabrics ranging from 100 to 350 GSM (grams per square metre). Lightweight jerseys start at 100 GSM, while heavier terry and brushed jersey fabrics can reach up to 350 GSM. We can customise the weight to match your specific product requirements.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Our minimum order quantity varies by fabric type and composition. For standard cotton jersey, MOQ typically starts at 500 kg per colour. For specialty fabrics or organic-certified materials, MOQ may differ. Please contact our sales team for specific requirements.
Can I request fabric samples before placing an order?
Yes, we provide free fabric swatch samples and lab-dip colour samples. Sample preparation typically takes 5–7 working days. We can send samples via DHL or FedEx worldwide. Simply fill out our contact form or email [email protected] with your requirements.
Do you offer organic cotton knit fabric?
Yes, Kayteks is GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and OCS (Organic Content Standard) certified. We produce knit fabrics from 100% organic cotton with full traceability from fibre to finished fabric. Our organic range includes jersey, rib, and pique constructions.
Is dyeing included in your knit fabric production?
Kayteks operates as a semi-integrated facility. While our core expertise is in knitting, we coordinate dyeing and finishing through our trusted partner network in Denizli. We offer reactive dyeing, Pantone colour matching, and OEKO-TEX-compliant finishing. You can order greige (undyed) fabric or fully finished, dyed fabric.
